BUFFALO NIAGARA FILM FESTIVAL

April 8 to 17, 2011

The 5th Annual BUFFALO NIAGARA FILM FESTIVAL (BNFF) is a true filmmaker’s festival that takes place in a region that loves the arts and has produced numerous industry icons both behind the camera and on screen. BNFF is held across various landmark venues in Buffalo, New York, with sparkling Niagara Falls situated right in its backyard.

Festival organizers have had great success in pushing filmmakers to the next level of their careers. Many films have had their start at BNFF and later went on to win awards and ink distribution deals, including SCALING UP, RUN FAT BOY RUN, THE CAKE EATERS, SINNER, THE STILL LIFE, and WHAT GOES UP starring Hilary Duff and Steve Coogan.

Cash prizes and beautiful crystal trophies are presented to category award-winners. In addition, BNFF’s official selections are up for distribution opps with select distribution partners. Exhibiting filmmakers receive all-access passes to the festival and its filmmaking expo, participate in local tours, and attend plenty of events, galas, seminars, receptions, and networking opps taking place during this rapidly growing festival.

Organized by a team of filmmakers, BNFF has been built around the needs of filmmakers and aims to be an annual destination for film-lovers and industry to come together and celebrate a shared passion for film. BNFF is committed to providing opportunities to fellow filmmakers.

Past honorees and participants include Robert Redford; Richard Dreyfuss; Cindy Williams; Lou Ferrigno; Robert Culp; Tom Holland; and Louis Gossett, Jr., who declares that BNFF’s “selection of films was outstanding.”
